Karen Su, an esteemed violinist originally from Los Angeles, captivates audiences worldwide with her exceptional artistry and emotive performances. Born into a musical family, Karen's musical journey began under the guidance of her father and later flourished under the tutelage of Igor and Vesna Gruppman at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where she started her degree at just 15 years old and graduated summa cum laude. Her artistic development reached new heights as an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, mentored by the legendary Augustin Dumay.

Critically acclaimed for her "confidence and drive…warmth and intensity" (The Strad), Karen Su has garnered prestigious accolades, including being a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, a special prize winner at the Wieniawski International Violin Competition, and a top prize winner at both the Lipizer and Princess Astrid International Competitions.

Highlights of past and upcoming solo engagements include performances with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Belgian National Orchestra, Boca del Río Philharmonic, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra & Opera, Sinfonia Rotterdam, Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, and the Polish Radio Amadeus Chamber Orchestra.

As a passionate chamber musician, Karen has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Augustin Dumay, Gary Hoffman, Jian Wang, Lorenzo Gatto, Miguel da Silva, and Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden. She forms a violin-piano duo with Dutch pianist Ruben Plazier, with whom she organizes the concert series "Experience Klassiek" Karen Su currently performs on a magnificent 1747 Nicolo Gagliano violin, generously provided by an anonymous donor.
