KAREN SU, VIOLINIST Medium biography (approx. 90 words) American violinist Karen Su is a Laureate of the 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition, praised by The Strad for her "confidence and drive" and "warmth and intensity". She has appeared with the Belgian National Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, the Trondheim Symfoniorkester and Sinfonia Rotterdam, in halls including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Flagey, the Rudolfinum in Prague, de Doelen and TivoliVredenburg. She is professor of violin at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons and plays a 1747 Nicolo Gagliano violin, on anonymous loan.
